November 17th- Places in the Heart (1984): It is 1935 in Waxahachie, Texas, a small town in the grip of the Great Depression. The film’s narrative follows Edna Spalding (Sally Field – won the Academy Award for this role), a young woman who is forced to take charge of her farm after the death of her husband and is helped by a motley bunch.
December 15th- Grumpier Old Men (1995): 1995 American romantic comedy film, and a sequel to the film Grumpy Old Men. It stars Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, Ann-Margret, Sophia Loren, Burgess Meredith (in his final film role), Daryl Hannah, Kevin Pollak, Katie Sagona and Ann Morgan Guilbert. Grumpier Old Men was directed by Howard Deutch, with the screenplay written by Mark Steven Johnson and the original music score composed by Alan Silvestri.
