Food insecurity is a significant problem for many families. The USDA runs the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) with a mission to End Hunger and Move People Forward to Self Sufficiency. Receiving SNAP benefits can make a big difference in your family’s monthly food budget.
The Cameron Sr Center is a SNAP site for all Westford town residents. The Cameron Social Services staff is completing new SNAP applications and state-required recertifications for all town residents. There is no age requirement for this benefit! Recipients must meet monthly income guidelines which are currently less than $2,147 for a household of 1 and $2,903 for a household of 2 (gross annual amount).
And if you qualify for the SNAP program, you also have access to the Healthy Incentives Program (HIP)! Through HIP, you can purchase farm-fresh fruits and vegetables at food at HIP retailer and then you get SNAP credit back! Free money!

If you would like to see if you qualify for SNAP, please call the Center 978-692-5523 and we will schedule a telephone appointment for you with Annette.
