May 26 1PM: Still Alice (2014): Caring for a spouse/parent with early-onset Alzheimer’s. When renowned linguistics professor Alice Howland starts to forget her beloved words, her world quickly spins with the harsh reality: early-onset Alzheimer’s. The movie transparently chronicles Alice’s battle to hide her neurological disease and find coping strategies. It also demonstrates the cognitive decline Alzheimer’s patients experience and the challenges family caregivers must tackle daily.

Members make up the lifeblood of our organization – and people of all ages, all backgrounds, and all walks of life are welcome. Although most programs are targeted toward those aged 55 and over, your membership will help us continue to expand programs and classes for seniors and help us keep the costs to attend affordable affordable to all.
Our involvement and our activities promote fellowship and help to improve the health and well-being of older citizens throughout the local community.
